Military: United States Air Force (1984-1989)
Early Theatre and Musical Experience:
- Singing with a very musical family
- Began playing trumpet and french horn in grade school
- Joined local Sheppard Air Force Base pop band, "B&B Band"
- Competed in Sheppard AFB talent contest in 1985 and 1986, winning Top Female Vocalist category in 1986
- Competed at Air Force World Wide Talent Contest in 1986, select for 1986 Tops in Blue oversease tour
- Performed in Bob Hope Birthday Special in 1987, as well as with Lee Greenwood in San Antonio
- Joined The Upstagers community theatre group in 1988, and have performed in such shows as "Pump Boys and Dinettes", "Grease", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Bye Bye Birdie", "42nd Street", "Crazy For You", "Guys & Dolls", member of the world premiere cast of "Soup Du Jour", "Pajama Game". Currently in "Encore & More".
- Co-founded the local vocal showcase "Music Magic" in 1987
- Joined Del Rio's Top 40 band "Caught in the Act" as vocalist in 1988; Winner of Southwest Texas Battle of the Bands for 1988, and 1989
- Regrouped with former members of "Caught in the Act", "The Coupons", and "Oracle" to create Top 40 and original band "Red Handed" in 1994. Disbanded in 1997.
Current activity includes performing with "Music Magic", the various Upstagers musicals, and individual performers, as well as member of the Praise and Worship Team at Grace Community Church
Other Activities/Milestones:
- Obtained PADI Open Water Diver certification, August 2005.
